[4] When replicating between a pair of remote disk servers, each must be licensed with the Asynchronous IP Replication option. The disk servers must be interconnected with an IP LAN or WAN. One disk server may only replicate volumes with one other disk server. One-to-many and many-to-one replication is not supported by SANmelody software.

SANmelody Disk Servers are a compelling alternative to conventional disk arrays. SANmelody AIM software enables a single SANmelody AIM Source server to mirror one or more disks to a single SANmelody AIM Destination server. SANmelody supports AIM between source and destination disk volumes that contain Windows, Linux, Unix, MacOS or other open systems disk images. In addition, SANmelody can support AIM Clients. DataCore AIM Client software runs on Windows systems only and mirrors disks from the Windows application server to an AIM destination server.
