DataCore Software Announces New Virtualization Consultant and Partnership with AccessFlow
FORT LAUDERDALE - March 14, 2006 - DataCore Software today announced that it has entered into a partnership with AccessFlow, a computer systems consultant and reseller that designs and deploys virtual infrastructure solutions. AccessFlow's mission is to combine server virtualization (VMware), storage virtualization (SAN), network virtualization and client/application virtualization (Citrix) to enable significant reductions in IT costs. AccessFlow was looking to fill a void for its customer base between low-cost storage technologies and the need to provide seamless failover and Fibre Channel storage solutions to customers and prospects that have embraced VMware. By utilizing DataCore software, AccessFlow has developed a flexible, virtual infrastructure strategy that serves as a model to maximize investment protection for customers that rely on AccessFlow for complete virtualization solutions.
"With DataCore as a partner, we are now able to dynamically grow our customers' storage strategy with the resources that they have already procured," said Steve Kaplan, founder and CEO, AccessFlow. "The DataCore partnership will help AccessFlow further meet the business objectives that AccessFlow addresses for its customer base, including lowering costs and increasing agility and reliability - key benefits of 'going virtual.'"
The bottom-line for AccessFlow customers is that DataCore technology provides rich SAN functionality in a virtualized environment at a very low cost of entry. Tactically with DataCore, AccessFlow is addressing the need to get the most cost-effective storage space that it can for a customer through its consultative process of building proof of concept solutions. Once the proof of concept is developed, AccessFlow then works closely with the customer to understand the disaster recovery (DR) processes and capabilities that can take advantage of the flexibility and cost savings that virtual solutions enable. Once the design phase is complete, AccesFlow then shows its customers how to best use their virtualization investment and strategy to create a DR strategy to better protect corporate assets.
For AccessFlow, a storage strategy and the DR strategy go hand-in-hand. "AccessFlow needed a flexible and proven solution to meet this objective," said George Teixeira, president and CEO, DataCore Software. "DataCore's technology offered the richness of features and functionality that AccessFlow needed from an enterprise perspective for its customer base."
