NEC Soft to OEM DataCore's SANmelody Disk Server Software

Agreement Combines Expertise, Services, and Systems - Shipping Integrated Storage Solutions

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. (December 1, 2004) — DataCore Software, a leading independent software vendor specializing in storage control, management and consolidation, today announced that NEC Soft, Ltd. has started reselling a SANmelody™ software based storage system named "MelodiousStor". NEC Soft has incorporated DataCore's disk server software technology into its product portfolio to address storage consolidation and solutions for backup, disaster recovery, auto-provisioning, replication and capacity expansion over SANs and LANs.

DataCore's disk server software enables NEC Soft to provide a wide range of solutions and services including system consulting, design, implementation, non-disruptive capacity upgrades and -support - in an integrated package.

The combination of NEC Soft's world-class system integration, system services, and system development with DataCore's industry leading SANmelody software uniquely equips companies to seize timely market opportunities while significantly enhancing customers' asset utilization and at the same time protecting their valuable data.

NEC soft has already shipped its first systems and is planning on installing some 300 systems over the next 3 years. The systems will be exhibited at the annual NEC corporate sponsored "iEXPO2004" event. The iEXPO2004 will run through December 1st to 3rd and the event will be located in Tokyo, Japan.
