FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. (March 24, 2003) — SANsymphony™ software from DataCore Software has earned considerable traction in the financial services sector by addressing its customers' urgent requirements for storage consolidation, continuous data access and rapid return on investment. The open storage management platform pools heterogeneous storage resources and dramatically increases disk utilization while protecting against catastrophic data loss and costly systems disruptions.

Conseco's chief architect, Rod Lucero redefined the company's storage management approach by pooling its existing EMC hardware under SANsymphony and recovering terabytes of wasted premium disk space. Using the software's robust and comprehensive capabilities, Conseco is able to automate and simplify routine but complex tasks for its 70 terabytes of financial data on consumer and commercial loan origination, customer service and other business-critical activities. Additionally, the ability to gather storage arrays with radically different price points into a single pool makes the use of less expensive storage for long term archival a practical possibility.
