DataCore Executive Speaks on Effective Storage Management Practices

Panel Will Introduce Practical Benefits of Modern Virtualized Storage Environments

LAS VEGAS (Nov. 18, 2002) — Nik Simpson, product marketing manager for DataCore™, will participate in COMDEX Fall 2002's 'Storage Strategies and Solutions' Technology Segment on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2002. The Storage Virtualization session, chaired by the Fibre Channel Industry Association, will acquaint enterprise decision-makers with modern techniques to effectively manage growing amounts of data by 'virtualizing' storage resources, while protecting existing investments and laying the foundation for a sound long-term storage strategy.

Simpson will explore how network-based virtualization techniques coupled with advanced storage services can address many of today's critical issues surrounding storage management: performance, interoperability, reliability, capacity utilization and scalability. He will be joined by other representatives from the storage industry to discuss successful approaches to these pressing challenges.

At DataCore, Simpson works closely with enterprise customers to ensure that the company's open storage networking software, SANsymphony™, fulfills current and evolving storage management requirements. He is a member of The Council of Advisors, which provides storage industry analysis for the investment banking community.
