StorageTek and DataCore Team to Simplify Network Storage Management

StorageTek Australia and New Zealand to Resell DataCore's SANsymphony

SYDNEY, Australia, Oct. 10, 2001 -- StorageTek® (Storage Technology Corp., NYSE:STK), an expert in high-performance, efficient digitised data storage, and DataCore Software, a leading provider of storage virtualisation and networking software, are providing customers with complete storage network solutions. StorageTek will resell DataCore's SANsymphony storage virtualisation software in Australia and New Zealand. The addition of SANsymphony to the StorageTek product suite enables pooling of existing and new disk resources from multiple suppliers to reduce the costs of storage management.

Typically, companies with legacy disk face challenges with utilisation and the integration of new technology. Such constraints have lead to increased costs and unnecessary human intervention. This joint solution delivers a unique combination of DataCore SANsymphony software combined with the StorageTek high-performance 9176 disk subsystem.
