FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. (May 16, 2001) -- DataCore™ Software, the leading provider of storage virtualization and networking software, today announced the formal launch of its Japanese office and SAN customer center in Tokyo to support the growing needs of companies for cost-effective, easy-to-use Storage Area Network (SAN) solutions in the region. The new facility serves as the sales and marketing and technical support center for Japan as well as the Asian Pacific center for SAN user training. It is conveniently located in the center of Tokyo near the Imperial Palace, government offices and other international companies.
"Japanese businesses are suffering from the high costs of managing massive and growing amounts of data storage. These businesses are just beginning to understand the critical role of storage networks and virtualization technologies to significantly improve the return on investment and productivity of storage assets, to reduce the cost of management, and to provide needed flexibility and scalability to deal with growth," said Hiromi Kanasaki, director of Japan operations with DataCore. "This market is poised for rapid expansion and thus a perfect time for DataCore to enter the Japanese market."
The initial objective of the Japan SAN center is to build and develop DataCore authorized channel and OEM partnerships.
