DataCore Awarded 'Product of the Year' for 2000

SANsymphony Storage Virtualization Software Recognized as 'Best of 2000' at Annual Server I/O and eCommerce Infrastructure Technologies Conference

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. (Feb. 16, 2001) - DataCore Software, the leading provider of advanced storage virtualization and networking software, earned the "Product of the Year" for 2000 award for its storage area networking (SAN) software infrastructure product, SANsymphony™. SANsymphony was selected from among some of the top storage finalists including EMC Corporation's Symmetrix 8000; Compaq Computer Corporation's StorageWorks Enterprise Modular Array 12000; Computer Associates International, Inc.'s ARCserve 2000 and DataDirect Networks, Inc.'s SAN DataDirector.

The Product of the Year for 2000 award was presented during the Sixth Annual Server I/O and eCommerce Infrastructure Technology Conference last week in Monterey, California. Prior to the conference, industry experts were invited to vote via the conference Web site for the "Product of the Year" for 2000. In total, 1,449 users voted in the "Product of the Year" category for 52 products, narrowing the field to five finalists the week prior to the conference. At the conference, attendees were invited to vote from these five to determine the "Product of the Year."
